TERMS & CONDITIONS

All dogs staying with us at Paw Season Resort must wear a collar with an identity tag showing the name and address of the owner (a telephone number is optional but advisable). This is a legal requirement.

Please bring food for the entire duration of your dogs’ stay, toys and other home comforts are left at your own discretion and risk. We cannot be held liable for items that are broken or lost.

The owner is responsible for supplying enough food for the duration of the dog/s stay. If insufficient food is supplied the owner is responsible for reimbursing the carer for costs incurred in the purchase of more food.

All equipment is provided by the owner, and it is their responsibility to ensure that it is of suitable quality and fit for purpose.

Any conditions requiring the administration of medicine to the dog/s must be fully discussed with the carer. Dosage rates etc. should be given to the carer in writing through our medication permission sheet before their stay. Any changes in medication required must be communicated to the carer in a timely manner.

No dogs are taken off site for walks, all dogs are exercised on our land.

Whilst we have secure and safe fencing in place, we cannot be held responsible if your dog breaches our boundaries - please do let us know if your dogs have tendencies to jump over barriers or gates or have a fondness to dig holes under safety fences to escape.

If your dog/s escapes from the premises (assuming no negligence is found on the part of the carer) any liability for the dog/s actions remains the responsibility of the owner.

The dog/s must be used to living in a home environment and must not exhibit territorial marking and be housetrained.

All dogs will live on the ground floor of our property – no dogs are permitted on the upper level of our home.

The owner gives permission to board their dog/s together with the other carer’s dog/s. Or discussed with Paw Seasons Resort, about having a separate room and time apart from other dogs.

Please note we also have cats, that live in our house (they tend to keep to the top floor). If your dog has a high prey drive or likes to give chase, please make us aware.

Owners must have their dogs vaccinated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza and Canine Parvovirus and must have ad a booster injection within the previous twelve months. We do insist on vaccination for Kennel cough (must be administered at least three weeks prior to your dogs stay). Please check your vaccination certificates and bring them with you when you check in your dog. All dogs must have up to date vaccinations and flea protection, been wormed and bathed. Proof of vaccination must be shown to the carer prior to the stay and a copy will be taken for our records.

We are not responsible if a dog contracts Kennel Cough as this is an airborne virus.

In case of an emergency we will make every effort to call you on your designated contact. Even if we cannot get in touch with you, we will arrange for your pet to received emergency treatment with your own veterinary surgeon, or at our designated veterinary practice, at your expense.

Owners undertake to declare any history of veterinary problems that could reoccur while boarding and to draw attention to any traits or vices their dogs may have.

Vet bills are the responsibility of the owner.

Owners are responsible for following a worm and flea treatment programme advised by their veterinary surgeon, if required, we may obtain and administer required medication if a dog shows signs of flea and/or worm infestation, at the owner’s expense.

We don’t take puppies that are under 1 year old.

Paw Seasons Resort does not accept bookings from unspayed bitches.

If the customer has a rescue dog the dog must have been resident with the owner for a minimum of six months.

Paw Seasons Resort will accept entire males at their discretion and providing they do not show aggression towards other dogs or people.

We do not accept restricted dogs as specified in regulations made under the Control of Dogs Act 1986 or amendments there to and in particular but not limited to breeds such as: American Pit Bull Terrier – English Bull Terrier – Staffordshire Bull Terrier – Bullmastiff – Dobermann Pinscher – German Shepherd (Alsatian) – Rottweiler – Japanese Akita – Japanese Tosa – Bando.

Paw Seasons Resort are unable to accept dogs that have shown aggression towards other dogs and/or people or subject to the terms of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. No dogs registered under this act will be accepted for home boarding.

Any cancellation made within 14 days of the start of booking will incur a cancellation charge of 50% of the total invoice.

A non-refundable/ non-transferable 50% confirmation fee will be due at time of any daycare or boarding booking.

No shows/same day cancellations will be charged at full price.

Any alterations made to the original booking within 10 days prior to the start date may be chargeable.

If the owner collects the dog/s before the confirmed end date of the board, they will not be entitled to a refund.

There will be no credit for early collection but a late collection fee will be added, of £10 ph, for each additional hour you are delayed.

We have double time rates on Christmas Eve, 24th, Christmas Day 25th, Boxing Day 26th and New Years Eve 31st December, also on New Years Day 1st and 2nd of January.

No responsibility is taken for owner’s toys or bedding that is used on the premises.

The proprietors reserve the right to refuse admission to any pets showing signs of ill health.

The owner agrees to let us know of any changes to dogs (or owner details) and keep their forms we hold for them on file, up to date.

The Emergency Contact must be aware of their role, duties and responsibilities and be available for the duration of the booking.

Paw Seasons Resort will attempt to contact the owner or Emergency Contact in an emergency and if necessary the Emergency Contact is expected to make any decisions with regard to the dog/s. If the owner or Emergency Contact cannot be contacted, Paw Seasons Resort reserves the right to act on the owner’s behalf, seeking and following advice from a veterinary surgeon.

The owner agrees if after 10 days of the booked return date the owner has not collected the dog/s and Paw Seasons Resort had made every attempt to contact the owner or Emergency Contact without success then the dog/s would be put up for re-homing.

The owner or Emergency Contact is responsible for payment of any veterinary fees incurred and the owner is responsible for reimbursing any costs incurred by the carer if any damage, other than reasonable wear and tear, is caused to the carer’s home or possessions by the dog/s.

If, while the owner is away, the carer cannot continue to board the dog/s through problems with the dog/s sickness or behaviour, then Paw Seasons Resort will try to find another carer if possible and advise the owner and Emergency Contact accordingly. If Paw Season Resort is unable to find another carer and the Emergency Contact is unable or unwilling to take the dog/s, then Paw Seasons Resort with consultation from the Owner or Emergency Contact, find suitable kennels or veterinary accommodation for the dog/s. The owner will be responsible for the associated costs.

If the dog has shown aggression or bites during its board the Emergency Contact will be asked to remove the dog. If the Emergency Contact cannot take the dog then the dog will be removed to a kennel. There will be no refund of boarding fees that have been paid and the owner will be responsible for all kennel fees.

Carers will make every effort to provide high standards of care but Paw Seasons Resort cannot be held liable for loss, injury or death unless negligence is shown. The owner agrees to let Paw Seasons Resort know of any changes to their dog/s details.

A booking will only be regarded as confirmed either in writing via email, when a signed booking form is in place (which should be no later than 5 days after the meeting with the carer). Or via booking through our website. The owners agree to provide full, accurate and detailed information on all Forms about the dog/s. During the owners continued use of Paw Seasons Resort the owner agrees to keep us informed of any changes to the dog/s details on ALL Forms. Failure on the owners part to disclose any matter which Paw Seasons Resort view may render the dog/s unsuitable for home boarding with the carer will amount to a breach of conditions and termination of the dog/s stay without refund.

Paw Seasons Resort reserve the right at their discretion to cancel the booking and refund the fee without any liability to Paw Seasons Resort.

The Paw Seasons Resort reserves the right to amend and edit the terms and conditions when deemed necessary.
